Camp was definitely different for Cody & I this year. Instead of going with all the kids that we have been working with we went with a whole new group of kids. Last Sunday when we got on the bus we didn't know any of the kids & only a few of the leaders, it was hard & we definitely missed our kids we had been with all year, but we knew we were suppossed to be on this trip. I am thankful we got to go on this trip with our new group as we now feel like we actually know people here & have begun to build relationships with kids & leaders.
Here is where we were last week:

Another reason why this trip was so different is that I was 6 months pregnant which mean I couldn't do a lot of the things that I usually do at camp. It was hard being prego at camp & not really my favorite & it definitely wore me out, but I did get to do a lot of watching & picture taking.
I watched all our kids at the rodeo, here is one of our boys at the rodeo:

I watched lots of people blob, here is Cody:

Here is one of our kids that got blobbed really high!

I also watched people do the giant swing called, the "claim jumper" - it's pretty intense:

Here's Cody going on the claim jumper (in the yellow shirt):

I did get to play with my team in the camp volleyball tournament:

Went to the camp carnival on my favorite night at camp:

Cody got pied in the face, I did too, but not til later that night:

Even though there are so many fun things to do at camp, some of my favorite times are towards the end of the week when leaders & kids have the chance to talk about life & all that they have heard that week at camp - they are usually really powerful conversations.

Since camp we have been having Bible study over at our house every night. We have been going through Mark & it has been a great time to get to keep up what all the kids experienced camp. We will keep this up all of next week too, it makes the nights kind of crazy, but well worth it.
Can't wait til camp next year!
