Lucy's First Easter

Cody's sister, Cayce, & her sweet little girls Madison & Harper came to Texas for Easter week so we headed out to Abilene Easter weekend. Lucy loved being with her cousins & it was special to spend Easter weekend with them.

I have loved getting to do all of these "firsts" with Lucy this year, especially all her first holidays. I really love holidays & my family always does such neat things for holidays & I have such great memories of spending holidays with my family. Cody & I are going to try & do that for Lucy, we hope to make holidays special & memorable for her. I can remember my Dad reading scripture to us a lot during family get togethers, especially at Easter & Christmas. Cody has been able to be a part of those times for the past couple of years & he has now started doing that with our little family & I love it. This year before Easter we started reading the Easter story together as a family to get our hearts ready for Easter weekend. We were not the best at doing it every night, we are going to do better next year, but I am glad we have started that tradition.
