Summer 2010!!

We had a GREAT summer! It started out really nice & slow & we loved it. Once sports & YL ended we were able to have lots of family time, go on walks every night, be at home all together every night, we loved that time & tried to cherish the slow time.

Mid June Cody & I went to Crooked Creek with all these fun people:

It was an amazing week. We took a huge group from the high school we do YL at & so many of them had life changing experiences. I am thankful we got to be a part of it.

But we sure did miss a sweet little girl! Lucy Jane stayed with my parents for a whole week!! She did great & I know she loved her time with Grammy & Grandpa. I am so thankful they were willing to love on Lucy for a week so we could go to camp, could not have done it without you guys!
A couple weeks after camp we got all done-up for my baby sister, Bekah's wedding. We were all in the wedding & it was so special for all of us to be a part of Bekah & Tyler's big day. She had one of the cutest flower girls ever! After the wedding my family headed out to a little vacation. We were so sad that Bekah + Tyler & Luke +Jane couldn't come, maybe next year! On vacation we did a lot of swimming, eating, being with family, & relaxing. it was great!
Lucy loved the big boatLucy enjoyed watching her first world cup games. She would wave to the players on TV. Already a little sports fan.Next up, was our 3 weeks at Sharp Top. I could probably take up about 5 different blog posts talking about our time at camp, we loved it. It was so special for us to be at camp with Lucy. I hope that Lucy will spend many of her summers at YL camps as they are so special. I loved that she was with us as we served leaders & high school kids & that she got to see many kids come to know Jesus. One of the highlights of being at camp was that we were there with all these kidos. Lucy loved watching all the kids play & she became pretty good friends with all of them by the end of our time. We had 17 kids under 7 on our assignment & most of them lived in the same house with us for 3 weeks. It was great, really it was!
Cody had to leave camp a week early to go back to school so my mom came up to watch Lucy for the last week. Of course, I didn't get any pics of her with Lucy at camp :( She was so great & I could not have done it without her. After camp my mom & I flew to Seattle for my cousins, Abby's wedding. Lucy was a champ on the flight & during the whole trip.

She loved doing a little dancing at the wedding with Uncle TylerWhile in Seattle she saw the ocean for the first time:And got to sight see with Grandma & Aunt Ruth.
I am so thankful for all the adventures we were able to experience this summer. Can't wait til next summer....
